Description
Strep-Tactin® Sepharose® 50
% suspension can be used for the purification of Strep-tag®II or Twin-Strep-tag® fusion
proteins. The resin is particularly suited for the purification of proteins
with multiple tags, such as multimers, that cannot be eluted from Strep-Tactin®XT
resins because of the increased affinity. It can be used for the purification
of large proteins, due to the low percentage of agarose. Strep-Tactin® irreversibly
binds biotin, so if free biotin is expected use BioLock.
The suspension format allows the packing of gravity flow columns with custom
resin volumes. For a 1 ml resin bed volume, use 2 ml 50 % suspension.Strep-Tactin® Sepharose® is
not compatible with HPLC/FPLC due to a low pressure
stability.For
information on our other resins, please check the resin
specifications.
